Your mission

​​​​Within Network Operations, we are building a smart, lean, and high-performing organization to operate, run and scale our high-power EV charging network. As Repair Specialist  you will be responsible for analysis and repair of defective components as well as supporting production processes for dedicated parts and consumables in IOINTY’s Repair Workshop. You will play a key role in providing well documented analysis of defects as well as individual root cause analysis. In parallel to this you are ensuring a stable spare part supply for specific parts and components as well as elaborating ways to repair defects to be shared with the teams spread throughout Europe as well as with Suppliers of IONITY.
With a strong can do attitude and willingness to collaborate throughout different teams and departments, you will help to find ways out of situations with limited availability of parts as well as methods to fix issues right away reducing consumption of parts overall, safeguarding IOINTY’s Uptime targets. 
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and functional testing of EV charging stations and spare parts.
  • Dismantle defective chargers and ensure spare part harvesting.
  • Analyze root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute firmware and software updates on repaired equipment.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage incoming defective parts and coordinate with field service engineers for failure reporting.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels within the repair workshop, ensuring accuracy and availability of components.
  • Perform regular and annual stock counts, maintaining up-to-date documentation in inventory management systems.
  • Track and report the status of all defective or repaired units.
  • Accurately report all material movements and repair activities in the ERP system (SAP).
  • Assist in the development and documentation of repair procedures, workflows, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in or lead small-scale improvement projects within the department.
  • Collaborate with engineering and field service teams to enhance overall service quality.

Your profile

  • Technical degree or qualification as electrician.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in EV charging systems, industrial electronics, or automation.
  • Solid understanding of power electronics, low-voltage systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and software flashing tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills being able to think outside the box and being solution oriented instead of considering regulatory compliance solely
  • Highly organized, Structured, self-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
